Villages Nature in Seine-et-Marne, postpones its opening on the 1st September 2017




The tourist complex of large-scale, Villages Nature, in Villeneuve-le-Comte (Seine-et-Marne) included in PPP by Euro Disney and Pierre & Vacances opens finally its doors on September 1, 2017, which is three weeks later than expected. The excavation work of this project, titanic had started in June 2014.

The inauguration already been postponed in 2016

 

The makers of this project of the eco-tourism titanic carried jointly by the groups Euro Disney and Pierre & Vacances have reported, on August 3, 2017, the deferral of its opening, which is three weeks later than expected. Moreover, the site had previously been deferred in the spring and in the winter of 2016. They explain in a press release that“in order to meet the quality standards of Villages Nature, Paris and Center Parcs, the finishing operations are continuing.”

 

The site of 260 hectares, which is home to 916 cottages had, in effect, to welcome its first customers on August 11, 2017. Villages Nature has also indicated that it took “all necessary measures to provide the clients affected by this deferral alternative solutions and custom”.

 

Worn, the past ten years by the Group Pierre & Vacances Center Parcs and Euro Disney, and object a public-private partnership (PPP), this programme is part of the development of Val d’europe, this strategic area of the East île-de-france, including Disneyland Paris is a master piece.

 

A surface as large as 7 Center Parcs

 

And the figures of the project speak for themselves : the master plan of Villages, Nature provides in terms of up to 5,500 apartments and cottages and 150,000 m2 of facilities in 500 hectares, which represents a surface as large as 7 Center Parcs !

 

Villages Nature, the first of 1.730 accommodation built around an artificial lagoon heated by geothermal energy, had to promise the total of 1,600 direct jobs to which access will be given in priority to the inhabitants of the area, we had explained to the officials in August 2014.

 

In addition to the expertise of the architects, Jacques Ferrier, Jean de Gastines and Lionel de Segonzac for the design of recreational facilities and structures-residential, Villages Nature had called on the expertise of Joe Rhode, the famous designer for Walt Disney imagineering and the landscaper and urban planner Thierry Huau.

 

The project, which represented an initial investment of 360 million euros, wants to propose to a customer base including domestic, French and foreign, tourist accommodation surrounded by nature at the gates of Paris.

9 may 2003 : Pierre & Vacances and Euro Disney announced the signature of a partnership “studies” for a project of “Villages Nature” in the vicinity of Disneyland® Paris, and the launch of conceptual design and feasibility exploratory. On 22 August, the two groups create parity in a society of studies common, “Villages Nature de Val d’europe S. A. R. L.”.

 

26 July 2010 : the society for the study of common was created in 2003 by Pierre & Vacances and Euro Disney, it becomes a “Société par Actions Simplifiée (SAS)”, intended to bring the development of the project. An entity of governance is co-chaired by the respective Chairpersons of the Pierre & Vacances-Center Parcs and Euro Disney SAS, Gérard Brémond and Philippe Gas, and its director dénéral is Dominique Cocquet.

 

2nd half of 2012 : urban planning, architectural and engineering of phase 1 of the project is finalized, and the foreshadowing of the operation of the future destination initiated.

 

To September 1, 2017 : opening-looking to the public for the first tranche of phase 1A, consisting of 916 cottages and apartments and the two-thirds of the recreational facilities (including the Aqualagon).

 

2017-2018 (conditional) : opening-looking to the public for the second tranche of phase 1A, consisting of 241 cottages.

 

2020-2022 (conditional) : public opening of phase 1B, including 573 cottages and apartments, and the remaining one-third of the recreational facilities. Completion of phase 1, developed on 180 acres of right of way land, and including 1730 cottages and apartments.
