The veils of concrete in the library of Vitrolles, symbols of freedom




RENOVATION URBAN. Conducted last September by the architect Jean-Pierre Lott, “Gateway”, the new media library of Vitrolles (Bouches-du-Rhône), has the distinction of being topped by a huge veil of raw concrete with a cantilever-designed on 8 meters. Discovery of this new place of life.
After the new town hall of Bagnolet (Seine-Saint-Denis), opened in 2013 known for its passageways, to the forms of concrete corrugated directly overlooking the atrium, the architect Jean-Pierre Lott has designed in September 2016 in Vitrolles (Bouches-du-Rhône), the new media library, “The Gateway”. A new program conducted at the end of an operation of the demolition of a tower HOUSING of the 1960s.
