The ministry of Culture announced on 7 August 2017, the opening of nominations to the session 2018 of the Albums of young architects and landscape architects (AJAP). Candidates can register online until 19 September.
The contest AJAP, to the Album of young architects and landscape architects, is a “launching pad” for the younger generations of landscape designers and architects in europe. In a press release dated, August 7, 2017, the department of Culture reports that the young architects can register online to the session 2018 until Tuesday, 19 September 2017.
A proclamation of the results expected at the end of march 2018
The limit on the filing of nominations will end on October 31, 2017, with the announcement of the results is planned for the end of march 2018.
Since 2001, this prize is a highly anticipated event by the young architects and landscape architects. And for good reason. The contest of the AJAP is held every two years, also reminds the ministry of Culture. Can participate, young professionals under 35 years of age, no nationality, and with at least one participation in a contest or a project completed or in progress in France.
The goal of the contest is clear : “to Reward the projects and works which are distinguished by their innovative strength and their commitment, and that open new avenues of reflection on the architecture and the landscape of tomorrow”, continues the ministry of Culture.
The winners, selected by a jury of professionals, will benefit during the two years of a campaign to promote dense : a travelling exhibition in France and abroad, the publication of a bilingual catalogue, a Web site, or the organization of meetings in France and in Europe with the public and building owners, and finally, the participation at professional fairs such as the international Market of real estate professionals (MIPIM) which is held every year in Cannes in the month of march.
For the edition of 2016, are 227 files which had been reviewed by a panel of 16 architects, landscape architects, builders, representatives of the press and institutional actors, co-chaired by Laure Planchais, landscape architect, national Grand Prix for landscape in 2012, and Marc Barani, architect, national Grand Prize of architecture 2013.
