After having announced in march 2017 at the latest Mipim, the SNCF real Estate comes to officially designate, on 13 July 2017, the duo Compagnie de Phalsbourg and Daniel Libeskind carriers of the project of the “Tower of Occitania” of 150 meters in the vicinity of the train station SNCF Toulouse-Matabiau train station, future TGV train station. The american architect will perform by 2022, with the agency toulouse Kardham Cardete Huet Architecture.

The engagement committee of the SNCF has formally validated, the July 12, 2017, the allocation to the Company of Phalsbourg in the project of skyscrapers of 150 metres on the site of the “tri postal”, near the train station Matabiau.
This will be the duo Compagnie de Phalsbourg and the architect american Daniel Libeskind, which will realize nearly 11,000 m2 of offices. The goal is large-scale : build the first tower of great height of the city 150 metres and 40 floors, near the train station. Its delivery is planned by 2022.
Recall that following a consultation, launched by the SNCF real Estate, Toulouse Métropole, Europalia, and Jean-Luc Moudenc, mayor of Toulouse had announced to the international Market of estate professionals (Mipim), march 15, 2017, the Company of Phalsbourg, and the american architect Daniel Libeskind were well placed to manage this project.

The goal is “tocreate not only a business centre but also housing, shops and services around the train station Matabiau become a multimodal transport hub with an international dimension.” Ultimately, this ambitious programme provides for the construction of 300.000m2 of offices, 40,000 to 50.000m2 of shops, services and recreation, of 2,000 to 2,500 new housing units. “The Tower of Occitania prefigures the diversity of the neighborhood by offering offices, apartments, a hotel and shops in its 30. 000 m2 of floor surface, said SNCF real Estate.
“With the ‘Tower of Occitania’, Toulouse will soon be an architectural signature to the height of its ambitions of european capital. The project was estimated in march 2017 to € 130 million.
