Companies NGE and Altitude come to announce to have been awarded the contract for deployment of optical fibre in the far East. Details.
A million catches very high speed, 1.3 billion euros. The figures relating to the contract obtained by the companies in NGE, and Elevation speak for themselves. It will deploy the fibre-optic network by 2023 in the seven departments of the Great East (Ardennes, Aube, Marne, Haute-Marne, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Meuse and Vosges). This initiative is carried out in the framework of the plan very high-speed launched by the public authorities.
This deployment is part of a concession of 35 years, which will be paid by a concession company bringing together, as on the territory of Alsace, groupe NGE, the telecoms operator Altitude Infrastructure, and the infrastructure fund Marguerite and Quaero, which will join the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations. Nearly 1.5 million taken which will be deployed in all households, public facilities and businesses of 4,300 municipalities. The consortium will design, finance, construction, marketing, operation and maintenance of the network at Very High Speed.

The case will be, after the grouping, at the origin of more than 2,000 local jobs for the duration of the work. As in Strasbourg since 2016, of vocationally-oriented training in the trades of the fiber will be offered to job seekers. “It is an ambitious challenge for our businesses that will deploy 95 sites in parallel in the first Region digital France”, says Antoine Metzger, chairman of the management board of NGE, in a press release. “This new market confirms our position as an actor now essential to the deployment of fiber in the territories.”
