TECHNICAL SOLUTION AND ARCHITECTURE. A few metres from the A6 motorway, in Fresnes, Val-de-Marne, a huge building containing housing, offices and community facilities has been built. To meet this challenge, the architect and the manufacturers have devised solutions acoustic amazing.
The challenge was daring : to build housing for only about thirty metres from the A6 motorway. And the result is amazing. The Zac de la Cerisaie, Fresnes (94), housed there is still a few years old warehouses. This neighborhood of low-skilled up to then, has metamorphosed. This plot is located at the junction of the area of the town hall, a shopping area, but especially along the A6 motorway, transformed into a new eco-welcoming neighborhood public housing and private, schools and public facilities. The latest achievement is on a building which is spread over 132 meters along the highway and acts as a built-to-noise ratio for the rest of the neighborhood.
For this project, the objective was to propose a building to mixed-use housing in both social housing, student residence, an art school but also an industrial edge. The question of acoustics is immediately found in the heart of the discussions of the stakeholders of this project. To put housing, “it was therefore necessary to achieve a true shield sound“, explained the architect Olivier Ferrière, during the visit of this building in this July 11, 2017. “We also had the will to create link to other districts“, he also said.
What architectural solution there given found ? For this project, designated as block K, the agencies Daquin & Ferriere Architecture and 3A IDF have imagined doing of the frontage along the highway a wall of noise on which are built the buildings.
