TROPHIES. Candidates have until September 15, 2017 to participate in the fifth edition of the “Prize of Women Architects” in order to highlight their works. It is organized by the Association for research on the city and the habitat (ARVHA).
The women architects who wish to participate in the fifth edition of the “Prize of women architects” have until September 15, 2017 to participate. “Due to the success of the price by 2017 – with now over 213 applications of which 30 are international, and to allow the candidates to complete their applications, we propose an additional period up to 15 September 2017″, underlined the Association for research on the city and the habitat (ARVHA), in a press release.
Remember that this is a price supported by the ministry of Culture and Communication, the ministry of Families of the Children and of the Rights of women, the City of Paris and the national Council of the Order of Architects (CNOA).
Highlight the works and careers of women architects
The goal of the contest is to highlight the works and careers of women architects and to encourage gender parity in a profession predominantly male.
This year four prizes will be awarded for : an original work carried out by a woman architect ; wife award-winning architect for its projects (3 to 5 built works) ; a young woman architect under 40 years of age award-winning for its projects (three to five projects (realized or not) ; and an international prize for 3 to 5 works built by a woman architect registered at the Order of Architects of the State, excluding France.

The jury will determine the winners for each category. This year, it is composed of representatives of the ministry of Culture and Communication, of the order of French architects, of Catherine Guyot of the ARVHA, Fulvia Fagotto, founder of the Give Architetto Italy, the architect of the austrian Silja Tillner and the architect Spanish Eva Alvares, as well as winners of 2016 Véronique Joffre, Amelia Tavella, Tania Concko and Ingrid Taillandier.
Finally, the date of the award has not changed : it will be the December 11, 2017 at the Pavillon de l’arsenal in Paris.
