A9 : the doubling of the highway soon to be in service in Montpellier




The construction of the doubling of the A9 motorway at Montpellier led by Vinci Autoroutes is completed. The new section will be put into service on Tuesday, 30 and Wednesday, may 31, at the end of five years of work.
The construction of the doubling of the A9 motorway at Montpellier will end with six months ahead of the schedule originally planned just to report, Vinci Autoroutes, developer of the project. This commissioning will take place in two time : Tuesday, 30 between 5am and 8am in the morning in the direction of Montpellier/Nîmes, and then Wednesday, 31 between 5am and 8am in the direction Nîmes/Montpellier.

 

300 enterprises of building industry mobilized for five years on the site

 

Vinci Autoroutes recalls that “these works have mobilized more than 300 companies and 1,500 people to improve the safety and fluidity of this axis very attended, linking Spain to the rest of Europe.” The highway pre-existing, the A709, will be the host now stream local.
