In 2013, Saint-Barthélemy, the owner of land on a hillside and decided to build a luxury villa. For valuing its heritage, he opts for the use of noble materials and natural. His bet ? Cover the home stone to give it a touch design, contemporary and … mineral.

“The stone brings a nobility undeniable in the walls. As for the thin blades, dark slate, they convey the modern design touches to the façade”, says the owner. “I made a call to a firm of architects to carry out the plans of the villa. He was completely free on the design and layout. Only requirement : I couldn’t have imagined anything other than a natural stone in wall cladding”, he adds. For this last point, it uses the company CUPA Stone, specializing in natural slate and expert on natural stone in Europe.
Result : villa Grace – it is his name – offers six rooms spread on two levels. The terraces and the patios serve as alcoves with views of the translucent waters of the Caribbean sea.
